Illegal transportation of cattle: Three cows rescued, driver arrested

Mysore/Mysuru: Yelwal Police have arrested a goods vehicle driver on charges of transporting cattle to slaughter houses and have rescued three cows besides seizing the vehicle.

Acting on a tip off, Yelwal Police, who intercepted a goods vehicle at Yelwal at about 4.30 pm yesterday, found three cows inside the vehicle and when the Cops interrogated the driver, he (driver) is said to have confessed of transporting the cows to a slaughter house. The arrested driver has been identified as Kendagannanna of H.D. Kote.

Yelwal Police have registered a case in this regard.
