Imitation jewellery stolen from fancy stores

Mysuru: Miscreants, who broke into a fancy stores, have decamped with imitation jewellery worth thousands of rupees in city on Saturday night.

The burglary took place at Sri Durga Handmade Jewellery Stores, which is located at Saraswathipuram 3rd Main, 5th Cross.

Miscreants, who gained entry into the stores by forcibly opening the shutters of the stores, have made away with imitation jewellery worth about Rs. 10,000 and have also stolen Rs. 35,000 cash kept in the stores.

The burglary came to light yesterday morning, when the owner of the shop came to open the same and saw the shutters forcibly opened and immediately informed the Police.

Saraswathipuram Police, along with fingerprint experts and the Dog Squad, rushed to the spot and inspected the place.

Saraswathipuram Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
