It’s important to know the rich tradition of Sanskrit language: Scholar

Mysuru: “It is important to understand the dynamics of Sanskrit language, grammar and tradition in the context of our rich culture,” opined Dharwad Karnataka University’s former Sanskrit faculty Dr. Chandramouli Naicker.

He was speaking at the function organised to felicitate Prof. B.A. Doddamani, who retired from service, at the Department of Studies in Sanskrit in Manasagangothri here yesterday.

Noting that there were few people who have made a mark in Sanskrit, Dr. Naicker opined that Prof. Doddamani was one among them. Prof. Doddamani couple were felicitated on the occasion.

University of Mysore Acting VC Prof. Dayananda Mane, Prof. Veerabhadraswamy, Department of Sanskrit Studies Chairman Dr.K. Narayan Bhat and others were present.
