Mysuru:  Kuvempu Vokkaligara Kshemabhivrudhi Trust will be inaugurated on Aug. 15 at a function to be held at Jayamma Govindegowda Kalyana Mantapa in Kuvempunagar at 4.30 pm, said Trust General Secretary R.S. Raghuramegowda.

Addressing the press persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here, he said the event will be graced by Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer Dr. Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, Mysuru Branch Seers Sri Somanatha Swamiji and Dr. Nischalanandanatha Swamiji and Kaginele Shivanandapuri Swamiji. The Trust will be inaugurated by Animal Husbandry Minister K. Venkatesh.

On the occasion, MLA G.T. Devegowda will present Kuvempu Samskruthika Award to former Justice N. Gopal Gowda, litterateurs T. Thimmegowda, Dr. C.P. Krishnakumar, former Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Chidananda Gowda and former Additional Secretary M.K. Venkataramu.

MP Yaduveer Wadiyar will present Dr. Balagangadharanatha Swamiji Social Service Award while Vishwa Vokkaliga Mahasamsthana Pontiff Dr. Nischalanandanatha Swamiji will present Vaidya Rathna Award.

Meritorious students will be honoured for scoring highest marks in SSLC, PUC and degree examinations. MLA K. Harishgowda will felicitate Pourakarmikas. The Trust will also present former MLA Kempeeregowda Memorial Award to achievers in sports.

Trust President H.K. Ramu will preside. Trust office-bearers Modamani, K. Umashankar, P.B. Anil, Bookanakere S. Vijendra, P. Gangadhar Gowda, K.T. Veerappa, Poornima, Sumithra Ramesh and others were present.
