India’s first Co-op. University to become a reality soon

Pune: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday announced that India will soon get a University offering courses for Co-operative training. He made the announcement while speaking at the Convocation of the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Co-operative Management here.

Shah, who is also Co-operation Minister, said that the Co-operative sector would play a crucial role in making India a five trillion dollar economy.

Reiterating that a Varsity specialising in Co-operative courses would soon become a reality, the Minister said that there will be colleges of this University in different parts of the country.
