Indira Canteen scam: MLA Ramdas to move HC

July 14, 2018

Bengaluru: K.R. MLA S.A. Ramdas, who claims to have unearthed a Rs. 150 crore scam in Indira Canteens, has decided to move the Karnataka High Court (HC) seeking a probe into the alleged scam.

Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Ramdas, who displayed some documents in support of his claim, said that when he raised the issue in the budget session of the Assembly that concluded yesterday, the Speaker had directed him to raise the issue along with supporting documents under some rule of the House proceedings, following which he sought raising of the issue under Rule 69.

But, the Government seems to be in no interest to discuss the issue and come clean on his charges, Ramdas said and added that he will move the High Court seeking a probe into the alleged scam in the running of Indira Canteens.
