Ganabharathi has organised the 7th year Vidu. Indira Vaidyanathan Memorial vocal concert on Sept. 28 at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar at 6 pm.

Vid. T. P. Vaidyanathan will perform, along with vocal support by Vid. Shivaram Arunachalam, Vidu. Charulatha Ramanujam on violin,  Vid. K.U. Jayachandra Rao on mridanga and Vid. S. Manjunath on ghata.

Profile: Initiated into music at the tender age of six, Vid. T.P. Vaidyanathan is a disciple of Sangeetha Choodamani Vid. B.K. Padmanabha Rao.  Having performed at the age of 16 in AIR, he is an A Grade artiste of AIR and has performed in National Programme of Music. A Master’s degree holder in Economics, he is also proficient in lecture demonstrations and has directed Sangeetha  Roopaka on Mysore Sadashivarao.

He has brought out a book “Sadashiva Kusumanjanli” on compositions of Mysore Sadashivarao.  A faculty in Kalakshetra, Chennai, he has trained a number of disciples and has been conferred “Sangeetha Kalaa Praveena”, “Sangeetha Seva Niratha”, Sangeetha Vidyanidhi” and “Nadabrahma” titles.
