Indo-International Premier Kabaddi league: Mumbai scores over Chennai

Inspiring raiding by Mahesh Magdum for Mumbai Che Raje who scored 7 points enabled Mumbai Che Raje to score a 32-28 win over Chennai Challengers in the ongoing Indo-International Premier Kabaddi League-2019 at Chamundi Vihar Indoor Stadium last night.

At half time, Chennai Challengers led 15-12. Elayaraja played well for Chennai by scoring 6 points, while Namdev Iswarkar chipped in with 5 points.

Mahesh Magdum was chosen as the Player of the Match and the Best Raider of the Match. R. Venkatesh was chosen as the Best Defender of the Match.

Mumbai Che Raje have so far played 6 matches in Zone ‘B’ and have secured 6 points and are in the second place. Chennai have secured 5 points from 6 matches and are placed third in Zone ‘B’.

Diler Delhi beat Haryana Heros

In the second match of the day, Diler Delhi, the leader of Zone-B with 13 points scored a 40-35 win over Haryana Heros.

At half time, Diler Delhi were trailing 14-24. Sunil Jaipal excelled for Delhi and impressed with his raids by scoring 12 points from 12 raids. Sunil Jaipal was chosen as the Player of the Match and the Best Raider. Vikas Khatri was chosen as the Best Defender. Sagar Singh impressed for Haryana by scoring 10 points. Haryana Heros have so far secured 3 points from seven matches and are placed fourth in Zone-B.

Pune Pride defeat Telugu Bulls

Inspiring raids by Amarjeeth Singh of Pune Pride, combined with some excellent team work by their team members, helped Zone-A toppers Pune Pride to register a well-earned 42-28 win over Telugu Bulls in the last match of the day.

Amarjeeth Singh excelled for Pune by securing 16 points from his 15 raids.  He was chosen as the Man of the Match and the Best Raider of the Match too. Jithender Yadhav excelled in defence and was chosen as the Best Defender. At half time, the winner led 25-11.

For Telugu Bulls, Vishal Nath played well by scoring 9 points, while Abhinandan Kumar with his acrobatic skills excelled in his raids and scored 5 points.

Pune Pride leads Pool-A with 10 points (6 played, 5 wins, 1 loss), while Telugu Bulls has secured 5 points.
