Mysore/Mysuru: Inspired by Puneeth Rajkumar’s blockbuster ‘Doddmane Hudga’, a 2016 released Kannada movie, a 14-year-old boy from Mysuru, who left home with an ambition of coming up in life, was traced in Hubballi and brought back to city yesterday.

A resident of N.R. Mohalla, the boy had gone missing from the city on Feb. 3. He told his parents that he would be  visiting his grandparent’s house and left by cycle at 2.30 pm on that day. 

Instead of going to his grandparent’s house on the next street, the boy went to Railway Station, parked his cycle at the Cycle Stand and took a train to Belagavi. When he did not return home, the anxious parents searched everywhere and filed a complaint with N.R. Police Station.

Meanwhile, the boy, after landing in Belagavi, went to Hubballi and sought job in a hotel. However, the hotel owner refused to give job as he failed to furnish his family details. At last, the hotel owner cajoled the boy and collected his father’s mobile number. The owner then called up  the father to inform that his son was safe in the hotel and asked to take him back. The boy’s parents rushed to Hubballi and brought him back to Mysuru along with N.R. Police personnel.

In the movie, Puneeth would be having wealth but he would leave home and come to Hubballi to stand on his own legs. Subsequently, he would become a big person. Deeply inspired by this story line, the teenager too left Mysuru, goes to  Hubballi but he was brought back by his parents before his dream was fulfilled.
