It has been noticed with concern that there is a lot of uncontrolled vehicular movement at the junction of Hotel Red Lotus Heritage located on Akka Mahadevi Road in JP Nagar.

It is proving to be very difficult for pedestrians, especially the aged, senior citizens, ladies and children residing in the area, to cross the road at this junction. Motorists whizz past in all four directions without a thought being shown towards the safety of pedestrians on the road.

Hence, I earnestly appeal to the traffic authorities concerned to take necessary steps and install traffic signal lights along with those for pedestrian crossings too, at the said junction, at the earliest and prevent any further mishaps, resulting in loss of innocent lives.
