Insurance agent accused of cheating

Mysuru:  An insurance agent of the city has been accused of cheating a policy holder, through non-payment of premium amount for the past few years.

Jayasheela, a resident of K.R. Mohalla is her complaint lodged with the K.R. Police, said that she took an insurance policy in 2012 through Susheela, an Insurance agent of Gokulam in city and paid a premium of  Rs. 15,000 every year for three years. But Susheela, thereafter collected the premium amount for two years (Rs.30,000) in advance, promising to pay the premium herself. But Susheela has cheated her by not remitting the premium amount with the Insurance company as promised. Also Susheela threatened her if she complained to anyone, the complaint said. K.R. Police have registered a case in this regard.
