Mysuru:  The Marimallappa Pre-University College, Mysuru, has organised inter-college competitions like Kannada debate, light music, kho-kho for boys and throwball tournament for girls on Dec.11 in the premises of the college.

Kannada debate   

A Kannada debate competition on the topic ‘Does farm loan waiver scheme bring transformation among the life of farmers’ is organised in memory of late Principal K. Jagadeesh at Gallery Hall of the College at 9.30 am. Principal of Marimallappa PU College B.R. Neelakanta, Vice- Principal M.S. Vijaya and Educational Officer Mangala Muddumadappa will be the chief guests. Dr. Prasad, Head, Department of Economics, Hullahalli Government First Grade College, will preside.

Light music

A light music competition has been organised in memory of late lecturer K.S. Kumuda on the same day at 9.30 am at Library Auditorium.  

Throwball tournament

A throwball tournament organised in memory of late K.S. Kumuda for girls will be held at the premises of the college at 8.30 am. Principal of PU College B.R. Neelakanta will inaugurate. Honorary Secretary of Marimallappa’s Educational Institutions Prof. K.N. Panchaksharaswamy will preside.

International Throwball player N.M. Vinay and Chief Manager of Syndicate Bank, MMJC Branch, Mysore, P. Nageshwara Rao, will be chief guests.

Kho-kho tournament

A kho-kho tournament organised in memory of late Principal S.B. Bettalingaiah will be held in the college grounds at 8.30 am. Former Mayor and Ekalavya awardee N .Prakash and retired Economics Professor of Marimallappa PU College R. Chandrashekar will distribute prizes.

The valedictory will held at 2.30 pm at the Gallery Hall.
