Jail inmate dies at Hospital

Mysuru:  An inmate of Mysore Central Prisons, who was serving life sentence and admitted to Jayadeva Hospital following chest pain on Monday, has breathed his last at the Hospital.

The deceased is Ramaraj (45), a native of Padri Bazaar in Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

Ramaraj complained of dizziness and chest pain on  Oct. 21, following which the Prison authorities admitted him to Jayadeva Hospital, where he passed away. As a Court in Channarayapatna had sentenced him to life imprisonment on  Aug. 16, 2014, he was serving the sentence in City Jail.

Since his relatives could not be located, the Police have urged the kith and kin of the deceased, if any, to contact Mandi Police Station on Ph: 0821-2418313/513 or call Police Control Room on Ph: 0821-2418339.
