Miscreants steal sandalwood tree in Ramakrishnanagar

October 23, 2019

Mysuru: Miscreants have chopped a sandalwood tree close to the Police Station at Ramakrishnanagar here yesterday.

The miscreants, after felling the tree, have carried away the trunk measuring about 9 ft. and worth lakhs of rupees. The tree was grown in front of the house of one Rajagopal on the Cross Road opposite the Church in Ramakrishnanagar. The miscreants had tied the branch of the tree to another tree using a rubber pipe to prevent the tree from falling and avoid sound.

Residents alleged that though they informed about the theft of the sandalwood tree to Kuvempunagar Police Station, no Police personnel visited the spot even today.
