Jail inmate dies at K.R. Hospital

Mysore/Mysuru: A convict, who was serving jail term in a ganja case, has died at K.R. Hospital yesterday afternoon.

The deceased is Kenchegowda (46), of Kalagavadi village in Malavalli taluk.

Kenchegowda, who was convicted in a ganja case, was undergoing jail term in Mandya Jail. As he complained of illness, he was transferred to Mysuru Jail and shifted to Jayadeva Hospital on Jan. 11. He was shifted to K.R. Hospital on Jan. 17, where he breathed his last at about 1.45 pm yesterday. Mandi Police have registered a case.
