K.R. Nagar: The valedictory of Jalapathotsava saw a glittering Musical Nite last evening near the Dhanushkoti Falls at Chunchanakatte near here presented by Kannada movie stars Yash, Radhika Pandit supported by Sadhu Kokila and others. The singers of the musical troupe Usha Kokila, Chaitra, Indu Nagaraj, Shashank, Manu, Santhosh, Prakash and Shyam rendered lilting melodies entertaining the gathering.

Speaking on the occasion, MP C.S. Puttaraj hoped that the Jalapathotsava with wider publicity would attract people from distant places in the coming years.

Addressing the gathering, Yash opined that such festivals would inform youth about the importance of the place.

Police had made elaborate security arrangements. MLA S.R. Mahesh, Mayor M.J. Ravikumar, ZP Opposition Leader D. Ravishanakar, Tourism Deputy Director Janardhan, Asst. Commissioner Dr. Sowajanya, Dy.SP Lingappa, Tahsildar Mahesh Chandra and MyMUL Director A.T. Somashekar were present.
