‘Janaspandana’ in Chamaraja

Mysore/Mysuru: Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda held a Janaspandana programme at a ground near Bopaiah Choultry at Manchegowdanakoppal in city, yesterday.

After patiently listening to the complaints and grievances of the citizens, he instructed officials to resolve the problems of public.

The MLA was told that the residents of Hinkal Survey No.89, which is an old extension of the locality and a developed Revenue layout, are not getting Khatas registered for their properties as both MUDA and MCC are refusing to register.  To this the MLA said that at a recent MUDA meeting, it was decided that since the said land is not under the jurisdiction of MUDA, MCC can register and provide ‘B’ Khata to owners of properties and a copy of resolution will be handed over to MCC soon so that it can register Khatas in future.”

The Government has also approved this, and MCC will soon register and give ‘B’ Khatas to property owners. With this, the problem faced by about 300 residents for the past so many years will be solved, said the MLA.

The public also complained about ration cards not being issued to them as the website of the department remains closed and they are facing difficulties in getting medical treatment at hospitals with no ration cards.

Harishgowda directed officials of Food and Civil Supplies Department to give ration cards for such people on priority.

Some women said that they have not received Gruha Lakshimi Scheme benefit of Rs.2,000 for the last few months and the MLA instructed the officials that the benefits must reach all eligible beneficiaries. He instructed the CESC officials to make sure that benefits of Gruha Jyothi reached all eligible households.

Many civic issues like street lights, poor maintenance of parks were also brought to the notice of the MLA. Some complained that their water connections are disconnected by the authorities and the MLA immediately instructed Vani Vilas Water Works officials not to disconnect.

About 200 people participated in Janaspandana programme. MCC Commissioner Ashaad-Ur-Rehman Shariff, Asst. Commissioner of Zone-5 Natraj, MUDA Special Land Acquisition Officer Manjunath, Vani Vilas Water Works AEE Somashekar, former Dy.
