Jawan dies of heart attack

Mysuru: An army jawan, who was admitted to Jayadeva Hospital in city following a heart attack, passed away on Tuesday morning.

Mahesh (41), son of Sannashetty (late) and Gowramma couple of Mavattur village in K.R. Nagar taluk, is the deceased.

Mahesh, who had served the Army in J&K, Goa, Jabalpur and other places, had come to his native village on June 11 after taking leave.

Mahesh suffered an heart attack on Monday afternoon, following which he was first taken to a private hospital in K.R. Nagar from where he was shifted to Jayadeva Hospital in Mysuru, where he breathed his last yesterday at about 10.30 am.

He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at his native village this afternoon, according to family sources.
