Mysuru: Former MLA and JD(S) District President C. Ashwin Kumar has alleged that the  SIR of electoral rolls is not being conducted in an authorised manner in the district.

Addressing mediapersons at a hotel here on Monday, he claimed that while SIR process had been completed successfully in several other States, irregularities were being reported in Karnataka.

He alleged that BLOs were distributing SIR enumeration forms at mosques and marriage halls in violation of EC norms, at the behest of the Congress party.

He further claimed that even BLAs lacked adequate information about the SIR process.

MLC C.N. Manjegowda alleged that the Congress, which came to power on the strength of its welfare guarantees, was using revision exercise as a pretext to remove beneficiaries from Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
