JD(S) flags, banners flood Mysuru-Hunsur Road

November 8, 2017

Mysuru: Traffic snarls were witnessed on the Mysuru-Hunsur Highway yesterday as a large number of JD(S) supporters headed to Lingadevarakoppalu for the launch of the party’s campaign for the 2018 Assembly polls.

The road to Lingadevarakoppalu on Mysuru-Hunsur Highway, situated at a distance of about 14kms from the city and a stretch of the Ring Road from Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway Junction to Mysuru-Hunsur Highway Junction, was flooded with JD(S) flags, banners, festoons and other publicity materials.

A large number of supporters stood at Junctions en route to welcome H.D. Deve Gowda, H.D. Kumaraswamy and other party leaders.

A number of women with Kalasha accorded welcome to the leaders at Junctions.

Vehicular movement on the ever-busy Highway was severely hit in the afternoon before the arrival of JD(S) leaders.

Though the rally was scheduled to start at 11.30 am, it was delayed by more than three hours as the leaders were stopped at all Junctions en route to the venue.
