Mysuru: The JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Sri Shivarathreeshwaranagar, Mysuru, in pursuit of quality and excellence, has achieved a remarkable milestone of an overall h-index of 100 in SCOPUS database.
The h-index of an institution denotes the maximum number of citations received for the publications arising from the institution. The h-index, or Hirsch index, measures the impact of a particular institution/scientist.
A higher h-index denotes the quality of publications from the University and has been used as a reflection of quality of research by various ranking and accreditation bodies like NAAC, NIRF, QS and Times Higher Education Rankings.
JSS AHER has been continuously striving to improve the quality of research by collaborating with prominent Universities across the world and enhance the visibility and perception in research. JSS AHER has a total number of publications of 11,336 as on date with 5,327 publications indexed in SCOPUS.
The focus on multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary research has led to publications in high impact journals and resulted in 100 publications of JSS AHER having 100 citations each equating to an ‘h’ index of 100 in a very short span of time.
