Mysuru: The two-day Research Scholars’ Conference in Health Sciences and Life Sciences – 2025 was inaugurated recently at Sri Rajendra Auditorium, JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru.
With the theme “Frontiers in Health and Life Sciences: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Directions,” the conference brought together over 450 participants, including researchers, academicians and industry experts, to discuss ground-breaking innovations and emerging trends in health and life sciences.
The event featured 286 poster presentations and 104 oral presentations, showcasing the latest research advancements.
In his Presidential address, Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, emphasised that the conference is structured around key areas shaping the future of research in India and its applications in healthcare and life sciences.
He highlighted the importance of such events in fostering self-reliance and excellence in higher education and research.
Dr. B. Suresh, Pro-Chancellor, JSS AHER, stressed the necessity of embracing technology, stating that “time, tide and technology wait for none.”
He urged researchers to actively contribute to technological advancements.
Dr. Gareth Cave, Principal Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, UK, underscored the strong research collaborations with Indian students and reaffirming his commitment to continuing research partnerships with JSS AHER.
The event also marked the launch of the EBSCO suite website for JSS AHER and the release of the conference souvenir. Additionally, JSS AHER’s Top 2% Stanford Scientists were felicitated in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
