Jumboo Savari: Entries open for folk troupes till Oct. 5

Mysuru:  The Deputy Dasara Special Officer for Dasara Procession Sub-Committee and City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao has invited entries from reputed folk troupes across the State and District to take part in this year’s Jumboo Savari (Dasara main procession and rehearsal). The procession will held on Oct.19 and rehearsal on Oct.14.

The last date to submit the application and register for participation is Oct. 5. Interested folk troupes are requested to send their details along with the best picture of their performance to the Secretary, Procession Sub-Committee or Deputy Director of Department of Kannada and Culture, Kalamandira.

Experts will select the best folk troupes for participation in the procession depending upon their costumes, stated the press release.
