K.B. Mahantesh (48), Madikeri Correspondent of Star of Mysore and Mysooru Mithra, passed away at a private hospital in city this morning after a brief illness.

Son of late Basappa, a native of Bailahongala in Belagavi district, Mahantesh leaves behind his mother Suvarna Kudasomannaver, wife Bhagirathi, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

He was the Manager and Correspondent of SOM and MM for the past 20 years.

Last rites will be performed at his native Bailahongala tomorrow, according to family sources.

Condoled: The Management and staff of Star of Mysore and Mysooru Mithra held a meeting at the office premises today to condole his untimely death.
