‘Kalpashree Natyanjali’ Dance Fest to mark anniversary celebrations of Kalpashree Performing Arts Centre

Mysuru – A dance festival titled ‘Kalpashree Natyanjali-2017’ has been organised at Jaganmohan Palace in city from Apr. 14 to 16 under the aegis of Kalpashree Performing Arts Centre Trust, a Classical Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Music Training & Performing Centre, Ramanagaram, as part of its 28th anniversary celebrations. The three-day event features presentation of various dance forms from 4 pm to 9.30 pm on Apr. 14 and 15 and from 10.30 am to 10 pm on Apr. 16.

Apr. 14: Natuvanga Kalaimani  Sasikalavenkatesan, Chengalpattu and Vidu. Sowmyarani, Founder, Sowmya Nruthya Shale, Mysuru, will be the chief guests on the inaugural day.

The performing artistes are as follows: K. Sharada Acharaya, Chennai – Bharatanatyam; Pujaraj, Bihar – Bharatanatyam; Bommisettyruchaishya, Kavali – Kuchupudi; Sanjna Sharavanan, Chennai – Bharatanatyam; Sangeeta Gupta, New Delhi – Bharatanatyam; Saraswathi Natyalaya, Chengalpattu – Bharatanatyam (Guru Sasikala Venkatesan); B.R. Raksha, Bengaluru – Kathak; Phalguni Bhat, Bengaluru – Bharatanatyam; C. Megha, Chengalpattu – Bharatanatyam and V. Pujashree, Chengalpattu – Bharatanatyam.

Apr. 15: Shornalatha Satheesh, Narthanalaya Cultural Academy, Chennai and Satheesh, Narthanalaya Cultural Academy, Chennai and Surendranath, Nruthya Ravali Kuchipudi Academy, Hyderabad, will be the chief guests.
