Kannada book selected for Sahitya Parishat Award

Mysore/Mysuru: City-based writer Suchitra Hegde’s Kannada book titled ‘Jagava Suttuva Maaye’ has been selected for Ratnakara Varne Muddana Anamika Endowment Award for the year 2022, given by Kannada Sahitya Parishat.

The book, which is a trave-logue, has won many awards including the State-level ‘Amma’ Award given by Matoshri Mahadevamma Nagappa Munnur Pratishtana of Sedam and another by Dharwad’s Bhumi Pratishtana and Sattur’s Aravala Pratishtana.

Suchitra, a native of Kumta Taluk in Uttara Kannada district, has settled down in Mysuru, after  serving in various educational institutions as Head Mistress, Principal and Head of the English Department.
