Janardhan Memorial Ranking Veterans Table Tennis Tournament proved a Waterloo for most of the Mysuru TT players of all age groups, except for Sushila Devi Pillay of Mysuru who grabbed another Silver Medal in this event after the last Silver in the Hassan Ranking Veteran Tournament.

In Hassan, Sushila had got away with a Silver after tie with Gayathri and Poornima in League Matches. In Janardhan Memorial, Sushila convincingly beat Lathika and Gayathri in straight games (3-0) but Premee (Bengaluru) stood like a Chinese Wall with her attacking and defensive strokes in the final and won Gold with 3-0 win against Sushila leaving her with a Silver.

It is rare to see a husband-wife pair win a gold each in Singles of the men-women events in the same age group in the Same Tournament..This tournament saw K.N. Sandeep and Soumya Sandeep, both winning a Gold in 40 age group Men-Women events.
