December 28, 2017

Mysuru: After the five arrested people in the multi-crore KHB scam were granted bail by a city Court on Tuesday, another five accused including G. Harish Gowda, son of MLA G.T. Devegowda, yesterday filed an application before the 3rd Additional District Judge Court seeking Anticipatory Bail.

The Court, which accepted the bail application, had adjourned the hearing for today (Dec.28). However, there was no information about the hearing till the time we went to the press. The Anticipatory Bail application for Harish Gowda and other four was filed by Advocate Rohit, who is representing the accused.

It may be recalled that the 3rd Additional District Judicial Court had granted bail to five accused – M.B. Somashekar, M. Mahesh, Jnaneshwar, Vijaykumar and N.B. Vasu, who were arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Dec. 18.

ACB sleuths had recently booked 46 persons, including four officials in connection with the KHB scam.
