‘Knights in Khaki’ honoured in city

Mysore/Mysuru: The 48th Annual ‘Knights in Khaki’ Police Shield presentation ceremony was held at Wind Chimes in city yesterday under the auspices of Mysore Round Table-21 (MRT-21) and Mysore Ladies Circle-09 (MLC-09).

Mysuru SP Mallikarjun Baladandi presented the Police Shields to N. Mahesh, Computer Section, City Police Commissioner’s Office; A. Balasubramanya, City Crime Records Bureau (CCRB); Lingarajappa, Crime Division, NR Police Station; K.J. Suresh, Women’s Division, Kuvempunagar Police Station. K. Azra, Women’s Division, Vijayanagar Police Station; Vanajakshi, Women’s Division, Saraswathipuram Police Station; M.D Pradeep, KR Traffic Police Station and A.M. Lokesha, KR Traffic Police Station.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Mallikarjun Baladandi said, “Police, who have sacrificed their private life while serving for people, face a lot of complaints than appreciation. Serving in the Police Department is one of the toughest jobs. Under such circumstances, identifying the Police personnel and recognising their service would encourage them to enhance their efficiency.”

DCP (Crime & Traffic) K.S. Sundar Raj too spoke.

Round Table (RT) India, Area 13, Area Chairman Tr. Sushruth Belagur, Ladies Circle India Area 13, Area Chairperson Cr. Nagashree Nikhilesh, RT India, Area 13, AVC Tr.
