Kodava Yuva Mela at Madikeri tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The Jabboomi Charitable Trust, which aims to promote, protect, preserve and showcase everything Kodava and Kodavaame, is hosting a ‘Kodava Yuva Mela’ on Saturday (May 20) at Crystal Court Hall in Madikeri from 10.30 am to 6.30 pm.

The Mela will begin with a procession from Gaddige and proceed through the main thoroughfares of Madikeri to culminate at Crystal Court Hall where various programmes will be showcased like Kodava culture, tradition, dance, art, drama and other forms unique to the community.

Kodava celebrities and youth achievers will speak about their field of achievements to motivate the youths. These youth celebrities would range from those who have distinguished themselves in the farming, corporate sector, medical sector, military, government, legal fraternity, entrepreneurship, film and music industry.

The event also comprises a ramp walk, a live music show and DJ Nite. Over 10,000 youths are expected to take part. Stalls will display various commodities, food and other wares.
