Kondotsava restricted to temple premises

Mysore/Mysuru: The Kondotsava of Sri Mahadeshwara Swamy Temple at Sunnadakeri in city, which is scheduled to take place on Dec. 7, has been restricted within the temple premises, due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

Accordingly, the Utsava and Konda, Nandi Dhwaja, Veerabhadra Kunitha and other events associated with Kondotsava in the past, have been cancelled. However, the customary rituals will take place inside the temple premises at 7 pm on Dec.7, the fourth Karthika                                          Monday.

The Temple Management has asked the devotees to strictly follow the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Government, such as wearing of face mask and maintenance of physical distancing while forming queues. Also, devotees who are found not wearing face masks, will not be allowed to the temple, according to a press release.
