Mysore/Mysuru: Konkani Christian Association (KCA), Mysuru, celebrated ‘Konkani Manyata Divas’ recently at Konkan Bhavan in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage here in commemoration of inclusion of Konkani Language in Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution on Aug. 20, 1992.

The programme began with three priests concelebrating the Konkani Mass which was followed by a public function.

Walter Nandalike, Managing Director of Daijiworld, Mangaluru, who was the chief guest, stressed the need to uphold Konkani language & called upon the youths to spread it further.

Monetary medical support was given to sick patients and the less privileged; educational support was provided to economically challenged students and a motorised tricycle donated to a paraplegia person.
