MPMERT holds CME on nephrology

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore Physicians Medical Education and Research Trust (MPMERT) had organised an academic Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on nephrology (diseases of the kidney) for the benefit of practicing physicians, family physicians and Post-Graduate students in medicine in city recently.

Over 150 delegates participated and learnt the key aspects of recent advances in renal disorders. Ten eminent Nephrologists from Mysuru, Bengaluru and Hyderabad delivered lectures. An oration in honour of renowned Nephrologist of Chennai, Padma Bhushan Dr. M.K. Mani, was delivered by Dr. Sanjeev Hiremath, Nephrologist from Bengaluru, on ‘Management of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) – The present & future.’ He stressed the importance of preventing CKD by lifestyle modification, early detection and proper management of diabetes and hypertension.
