KPCC Chief prays for Party’s victory and good rains

April 3, 2017

Expressing confidence that the Congress would win both Nanjangud and Gundlupet Assembly seats in the Apr.9 by-polls, KPCC President and Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara has said that Congress was the only party which was working for the welfare of Dalits and oppressed classes.

Speaking to press persons near Srikanteshwara temple after offering special prayers in the temple this morning, Dr. Parameshwara said he has prayed Lord Srikanteshwara for Congress’ win in the by-polls and also for rains in the State, which is reeling under worst drought in decades.

Replying to a question on senior Congress leader C.K. Jaffer Shariff’s observation that RSS leader Mohan Bhagawat could be made the President of India, Dr. Parameshwara said it was the senior Congress leader’s personal take and the party had nothing to do with it.

District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar and other local leaders accompanied the KPCC Chief.
