KPME Act into force from Feb.10

January 23, 2018

Kolar: The Karnataka Private Medical Establishments (KPME) Act would come into effect from Feb.10, said Health Minister Ramesh Kumar. He was speaking after inaugurating a Primary Health Centre at Muduvadi village in the taluk on Sunday and said that including CM, everybody should go to Government Hospitals for treatment.

“Everyone in the Government including the leaders may go to private hospitals only if the government hospitals lack the facilities required to treat certain ailments. The government will reimburse expenses only if guidelines are followed,” he said.

The Minister reiterated that he pushed the Act as he wanted to help the poor and those who are opposed to it would appreciate it after 10 years seeing its impact.
