Bengaluru:  In an unexpected move, the State Government yesterday transferred seven IAS officers, including senior IAS Officer M.V. Jayanthi and Hassan Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri Dasari.

M.V. Jayanthi, who was posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Planning Department, just 10 days ago, has been transferred with immediate effect as Chairman, Karnataka Appellate Tribunal (KAT), Bengluru.

Hassan DC Rohini Sindhuri Dasari, who had taken charge as Hassan DC just six months ago, has now been posted as MD, Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC), Bengaluru.

Rohini’s transfer has raised eyebrows in political circles, with the Mahamastakabhisheka at Shravanabelagola scheduled to take place next month and the Assembly polls just a couple of months away.
