KPSC holds exams for recruitment of Excise Sub-Inspectors, Guards

Mysuru: The competitive exam (written) conducted by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) for recruitment of Excise Sub-Inspectors and Guards (Men and Women) was held today at 20 centres across the city.

The Centres included Maharani Arts College, St. Philomena’s College, Maharaja Junior College, Farooqia Girls High School, Mandi Mohalla, Vijaya Vittala Vidyalaya in Saraswathipuram, Mahajana Public School in Jayalakshmipuram and D. Banumaiah Arts and Commerce College.

The exam was held in two sessions -10 to 11.30 am and 2 to 3.30 pm. A total of 10,560 candidates had registered to take the exam in Mysuru Centres. DDPI H.R. Basappa, ADC Venkatesh, KPSC Associate Secretary M. Lakshmidevi and top Excise Department officials visited the centres. Tight Police security was provided around all the centres.
