Mysore/Mysuru: Preparations are on for the Congress party’s KR Constituency convention to be held at Bhootale Grounds in Vidyaranyapuram tomorrow (Apr. 13) at 11 am. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, DyCM D.K. Shivakumar and other state-level leaders will be addressing the party workers during the convention tomorrow.

Former MLA M.K. Somashekar, who inspected the preparations yesterday, told media persons, about 15,000 to 20,000 people were expected to take part in the convention being organised ahead of Lok Sabha polls.

Stating that the entire country was looking at Siddaramaiah-led Karnataka Government which was delivering pro-people administration,Somashekar said that about one crore families were benefitted through the five guarantee schemes which had increased the faith in Congress State Government among the people. 

Apart from CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, District In-charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Chamarajanagar District In-charge Minister K. Venkatesh, KPCC Working President Tanveer Sait, MLAs Harish Gowda, D. Ravishankar, Ganesh Prasad, Darshan Dhruvanarayan and  Anil Kumar, former MLAs Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah and H.P. Manjunath, MUDA Chairman K. Marigowda, City Congress President R. Murthy, District Congress Committee President Dr. B.J. Vijaykumar  will be present.
