An excellent century by Mysuru Zone’s opening batsman B. Dheemanth (127, 145b, 13×4, 3×6) and his 71-run opening wicket partnership with skipper S.J. Nikin Jose (27) and 62-run second wicket partnership with P. Vishnu (62, 84b, 6×4, 1×6) helped Mysuru to score 266 for five in 50 overs, and in reply, assisted by some inspired bowling by medium-pacers K. Shashank (3 for 19) and M. Utham Aiyappa (3 for 12) bowled out Tumakuru Zone for a paltry 48 in 20.4 overs and registered a big 218-run win, in their first match of the KSCA Inter-Mofussil Tournament for U-23 years at Alur Grounds, Bengaluru, on Tuesday.
