Kudos to COVID warriors at District Hospital

April 10, 2021

Sir,

I would like to share with SOM readers about the wonderful COVID treatment facility at Mysuru District Hospital on KRS road and express my gratitude to the COVID warriors on duty.

On 18th March 2021, my nephew aged 45 years, currently living in Bengaluru, was admitted in the night to a Private Hospital for breathlessness and later put on a ventilator. 24 hours later, he was tested COVID positive! He was in a critical state and needed immediate attention.

With his whole family in Mysuru and in consultation with the District Hospital team, we decided to shift him. The fully-equipped ambulance with oxygen and a paramedic brought the patient to Mysuru in less than 2 hours. The Hospital team was ready, waiting at the entrance and started his treatment in no time — giving preference to patient first and formalities next.

The first three days was an extremely anxious time for us but we were assured constantly he is in safe hands. Since no family can meet the patient, the Hospital team became his family and everything from his treatment to food was their utmost priority. The food given to him was very nutritious and healthy. Now my nephew is fully recovered and out of the Hospital.

Kudos to Mysuru District Hospital COVID warriors for treating patients with all their heart and dedication. May this Hospital grow multifold and rise to be a place where a patient can get treated with confidence of getting better and not just getting bills. A big thank you and blessings to the team of District Hospital.
