Labour Ministry to grant financial help for education; Apply online

Last date for Pre-Matric (1st to 10th Std.): 15th Nov. 2021 

Last date for Post-Matric (11th Std. & above): 30th Nov. 2021)

Last date for verification by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Educational Institutions/ Managements (First Level): 15th Dec. 2021 

Last date for verification by State Nodal Officer (Second Level): 31st Dec. 2021 

Mysore/Mysuru: The Ministry of Labour and Employment has invited applications for granting financial assistance to the children of beedi, lime stone and dolomite mines/iron, chrome, manganese ore mines and cine workers studying from 1st standard to degree courses, professional and non-professional courses and ITI.

Applications are accepted only through online mode on National Scholarship Portal https://scholarships.gov.in and no hard copy of online filled application form by pre-matric and post-matric students will be accepted.

Details are as follows:

Class 1 to 5: Grant for dress/slate/books – Rs. 250 (Female) and Rs. 250 (Male).

Class 5 to 8: Financial assistance – Rs. 940 (F) and Rs. 500 (M).

Class 9: Financial assistance – Rs. 1,140 (F) and Rs. 700 (M).

Class 10: Financial assistance – Rs. 1,840 (F) and Rs. 1,400 (M).

Class 11 to 12: (PUC) – Financial assistance – Rs. 2,440 (F) and Rs. 2,000 (M).

Non-professional graduate/Post-Graduate/Diploma, BCA/BBA/PGDCA etc. – Financial assistance – Rs. 3,000 (F) and Rs. 3,000 (M).

Professional Degree courses such as BE/B.Tec/MBBS/BAMS/BUMS/B.Sc (agriculture)/MCA/MBA etc. – Financial assistance – Rs. 15,000 (F) and Rs. 15,000 (M).

ITI courses : Stipend Scheme – Rs. 10,000  (F) and Rs. 10,000 (M).

Selected students will receive scholarship amount through Aadhaar enabled Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme or DBT through NEFT by online process and there is no extension of last date for applying.
