Law students condemn allegations against CJI

April 23, 2019

Mysuru: Members of Mysuru Law Students Federation held a protest near Mahatma Gandhi’s  Bust near Law Court premises in city on Monday.

Condemning the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against  the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi by a former Supreme Court staffer, the protesters said that such allegations were false and concocted when the CJI is hearing very important cases in the Supreme Court        next week.

They alleged that such allegations are also part of the conspiracy to malign the image of the Chief Justice of India. Law fraternity must unite to save the dignity of  the Supreme Court, the Highest Judicial Institution, they said and demanded an impartial probe in the case.

Office-bearers of the Federation Punith, Jayashankar, Avinash, L. Jagannath and others took part in the protest.
