Mysore/Mysuru: On the occasion of its Platinum Jubilee year, Sarada Vilas College, Krishnamurthypuram, had organised a lecture series at AV Hall of the institute on Jan. 21.

Resource person Dr. Mahadeva, Visiting Professor, Department of English, University of Mysore (UoM), delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Science and Commerce in Literature.’ “Literature is a mirror of one’s life and it has the capacity in making a human being evolve intellectually. It plays a pivotal role in people to express their emotions in an appropriate manner. Science and Commerce are an integral part of literature,” he said.

Sarada Vilas College Principal Dr. M. Devika presided. Department of Commerce and Business Administration Dean Prof. Satyanarayana was present.

English Department Faculty V.S. Pooja and U.R. Swathi co-ordinated the event. Students Nethra rendered invocation, Amrut Sagan welcomed, Swathi introduced guest and Tejas proposed a vote of thanks.
