Leelavathi Ramakrishna (53), wife of R. Ramakrishna and a resident of Bogadi here, passed away last night.

A native of Ramasamudra in Chamarajanagar, she leaves behind her husband, son Anandakrishna and a host of relatives and friends.

Leelavathi, an employee of LIC, was also a writer, who had written stories and poems. She had also bagged a prize in Mysooru Mithra annual story contest.

She was the President of Taluk Sahitya Sammelana held in H.D. Kote recently. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill here this morning.
