August 8, 2019

Mysuru: A leopard has killed a goat, which was tied at the backyard of a house in Chikkegowdanahundi near Uttanahalli in the wee hours of today. The incident took place in the backyard of the house of one Savithramma.

Savithramma, who heard the goats creating noise at about 1 am, took the torch and peeped through the window of the house.

As soon as she switched on the torch and projected the light towards the goats, a leopard, which had caught a goat by its neck, fled from the spot and escaped in the dark.

Meanwhile, one Mahendra, the neighbour of Savithramma and a political leader, immediately called the Forest Department and informed them about the incident.

Mahendra said that a leopard was seen frequently since two days and added that the leopard had killed two stray dogs in the village.
