Leopard trapped at Marase

Mysore/Mysuru: A leopard, which had created panic by killing livestock, has been trapped in the cage placed by the Forest Department at Marase village in the taluk yesterday.

Following complaint by villagers that a leopard was killing their livestock, the Forest Department staff had placed a cage in the farm on Thursday and the leopard, aged about four years, walked into the cage yesterday and got trapped.

Forest officials said that the leopard would be microchipped before being released into the forest.
