Level the manholes to make roads safe for motorists

August 24, 2019

Sir,

This is to bring to the notice of authorities concerned that not only potholes, unlevelled manhole pits or raised manholes without proper levelling can also make roads unsafe for two-wheeler riders and pedestrians, as most of the pedestrians walk on the roads, but not on footpaths. It may lead to road accidents, especially during nights, causing damage to riders and the vehicles as well.

These photos were taken on Kalidasa Road, 8th Main, V.V. Mohalla (raised manhole) and Temple Road in Jayalakshmipuram (pits). It is requested that MCC take up works to level all such manhole pits and raised structures of manholes throughout the city before Dasara starts.
