Lingambudhi Lake crying for attention

June 18, 2018

Lingambudhi Lake premises, the regular place for many to take a morning stroll for fresh air, is in a pathetic state with garbage such as thermocol, empty plastic covers, plastic cups, used plates and dry leaves dumped in the drain hindering the easy flow of water. Also, foul smell is emanating from the drain as the water has become stagnant.

This apart, the place is being used by many to consume alcohol as a lot of empty beer bottles are strewn around the bamboo groove in the Lake premises, which also shows lack of security to the Lake.

Authorities concerned are urged to initiate immediate action and clear the garbage besides providing round-the-clock security to the Lake.
