Mysuru: Lions Club of Mysore Gangothri, a 19-year- old Club with 30 members, all members being women, celebrated its Charter Anniversary and District Governor’s official visit on Mar. 10. On this occasion, the Club donated Rs. 10,000 to a needy person who is undergoing kidney dialysis.
Speaking on this occasion, District Governor Lion N. Subramanya pmjf appreciated the notable services the Club is rendering to the community and he appealed the members to aim high in its endeavour to serve the needy in the society.
Charter Members Uma Devegowda, K.M. Gayathri Jagadish, Anuradha Nandeesh, Savitha Puttaraju, Bharathi Shivakumar, Yashodha Shivanna and Meena Ravishankar were recognised by the District Governor and were appreciated for their commitment in forming and nurturing the Club.
Lion Chandrakala Ramesh was honoured with Lions International Chevron Pin for being Lion for 15 years. Club President Meena Kumari presided. Secretary Anuradha Nandeesh, Treasurer Umarani, 1st Lady of the District Vani Subramanya, District Cabinet Secretary C.D. Krishna, Additional Cabinet Secretary P. Ramesh and Region Chairperson Shivaramu were present on the occasion. Manjula Bhadregowda was the Master of Ceremony.
