Liquor thief arrested

Bettadapura: Bettadapura Police have arrested a 21-year-old man on charges of breaking open a window of a Bar and Restaurant and decamping with liquor bottles worth Rs.60,000. The Cops have recovered the stolen liquor bottles from him.

The arrested is Basavaraju, a driver by profession and a resident of Chapparadahalli in Periyapatna taluk.

The accused had gained entry into Chamundeshwari Bar and Restaurant at Chapparadahalli by breaking open a window and had decamped with Rs. 60,000 worth liquor bottles.

Circle Inspector B.R. Pradeep supervised Bettadapura Sub-Inspector P. Lokesh, ASI Nataraju and staff M.U. Dileep, Ravish, Prasanna Kumar, A. Kumar, Bhaskar, G.S. Raghu, Ganesh, Shekar, Harish, Manjunath and Swamy in the nabbing and recovery operation.
